Study sports business at the AMOS Lyon campus
The Lyon school is fully rooted in the sporting, economic and cultural landscape of the first metropolitan authority ever created in France. Its influence extends across the Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes region, and it attracts students from 50 different departments.
At the foot of the Croix-Rousse, home of the Canuts silk weavers, the school weaves its own links with the new economic models of the sports business (backed by private investment and the support of the Metropole): from the Mur de Lyon (100% privately owned), which became Climb Up (the world's leading climbing wall group with 15 centres, and 25 in its sights in 2019), to OL's Groupama Stadium and LOU Rugby, driven by its main shareholder GL Events, a world leader in its sector (Olivier Ginon, CEO), by way of the Parker Academy: AMOS is bouncing back!
At the same time, this new model draws on and supports popular, intergenerational events such as the SainteLyon, the Marathon du Beaujolais, the Open Sopra Steria, the Mudday and the Women's Football World Cup, all of which help to professionalise the sector and create jobs: exactly what our students are aiming for!

Sports scene
Close to the mountains, AMOS Lyon students gained professional experience at the FIS Telemark World Cup in Pralognan in 2019, 2020 and 2021! Many guest speakers from the mountain sports sector pass on the specific skills required in winter sports: event management professionals, equipment manufacturers such as Salomon, communications and press relations managers from outdoor brands, and tourist office directors from ski resorts.
Other major sporting events: Olympique Lyonnais at the Groupama Stadium, LOU Rugby at the Matmut Stadium, LDLC ASVEL drawing crowds of fans to the LDLC Arena and the Astroballe, the Open Parc international tennis tournament at the Parc de la Tete d'Or, and the Lyon Urban Trail.
Student life
Every year, Lyon welcomes a large number of French and international students, creating a young, vibrant and cosmopolitan atmosphere. Students particularly enjoy the variety of the city's districts, such as the Presqu'ile and the banks of the Rhone, with their cafes, libraries, restaurants and cultural venues. The city also hosts countless concerts, festivals and exhibitions that punctuate everyday life.
Lyon also offers a pleasant living environment, with its green spaces, landscaped riverbanks and easy access to the mountains and the countryside. Between studies, culture and leisure, Lyon is an ideal city for student life.
